The combination of academia and indsutry gives Team CIMAR a strong group to design and implement the Urban Navigator vehicle for the 2007 DARPA Urban Challenge.

The Eigenpoint Company has the lead in automating the base vehicle. This includes the design of the power distribution system and the actuation systems.

Smiths Aerospace provides expertise in inertial navigation systems and integration of these systems with GPS. They also have the lead in the areas of mission planning and mission spooling.

The University of Florida develops algorithms for vehicle control, situational assessment, and environment sensing and modeling. They also serve as system integrator for the project.

Together Team Gator Nation will develop a strong entry for the November 2007 event.
