Call for Papers
The 2005 Florida Conference on Recent Advances in Robotics will be held on 5 and 6 May 2005 in Gainesville, Florida and will be hosted by the University of Florida College of Engineering. The conference will begin at 1 pm on 5 May and end at 3 pm on 6 May. Sessions will be held in meeting rooms in the Reitz Union on the University of Florida campus.
Papers are invited in the following areas:
• Robot Kinematics, Dynamics, and Controls
• Serial and Parallel Manipulators
• Mobile Robots (including Walking Machines, Autonomous Vehicles,
AUV, UUV)
• Robotic Applications and Automation
• Classical, Modern, Neural, and Fuzzy Control
• Manufacturing Systems Simulation and Controls
• Machine Vision
• Robotics, Automation, Manufacturing, and Control Education and Course
Development
Paper titles and author information are due by 1 April 2005. Full papers, submitted electronically in pdf format, are due by 14 April 2005 and must be mailed to carl.crane@gmail.com. All papers will be published on the conference web site. Formatting instructions for the papers can be found at the conference web site, http://cimar.mae.ufl.edu/fcrar2005/.
The tentative conference schedule will consist of presentation sessions starting at approximately 1:00 pm on Thursday and continuing until 4:00 pm. Laboratory tours will be held from 4:30 to 6:00 pm followed by a banquet dinner at 7:00 pm. The Friday sessions will be held from 8:30 am to approximately 2:30 pm so Friday afternoon will be free for travel home. Participation in the conference is free.
